Melinda Harris ᛉ 8/21/1961 - ᛦ 5/29/2026

Melinda Lou Harris, a member of the Asatru Folk Assembly since March 2021, passed through the veil on May 29th after a long battle with cancer. By the time she discovered the AFA, she had spent decades in a Naval career, plus a three-year sojourn to the mountains of Peru where she sought “the answers to Life.” An adoptee, she was never close to family, so as a solitary she was free to roam. And that brought her to us.

In her membership application she wrote, with us, she found what would be her family through MeWe groups like AFA Eldri. Living in Medford, Oregon, she was unable to continue her travels but she did enjoy online forums where she could speculate on the state-of-the-world.

After many months in remission. Her cancer came back with a vengeance.

Melinda will be missed and remembered.
