February saw some unexpectedly warm weather in Northern California, which turned out to be perfect for a hike with some folk. A handful of us met at the trailhead in the early morning in the picturesque Whiskeytown National Recreation Area. We admired the canyons, wildflowers beginning to bloom and a couple of us even jumped in the icy, rushing waters of Salt creek and Crystal Creek falls. We ended the day at Shameless O'leary's exhausted and full of Frith. Grateful for the new friendships and memories made and eager for the next Far NorCal moot.
